Innovations that OutSmart,
Out Perform and Out Maneuver

At Ford, we believe that we can always make things better. We exist, for the sole purpose of making life for our customers and society, better, easier and safer. From keeping you out of harm's way whether behind the wheel or on the street, to turning parallel parking from an exercise in futility into an exercise in precision - we've got your back.(10)

360-Degree Camera with Split View Display(10)

Love at first sight.

Four cameras - located in the grille, tailgate, and under each of the sideview mirrors ensure you have a full line of sight at all times10. The system provides a 360-degree view by stitching the images together and displaying them on a centre stack screen. Maneuvering in tight spaces or on trails is now simple. Included with the 360-Degree Camera is the Dynamic Hitch Assist feature that provides a line-of-sight guide to help direct your hitch ball to the trailer receiver(10). Your kids will finally believe you have eyes on the back of your head.

Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support(10)

Take your guardian angel along for the ride.

Imagine traditional cruise control with the ability to see and think - that's Adaptive Cruise Control. When its radar detects traffic ahead slowing it automatically slows down, then resumes the preset speed when traffic clears(10). Similarly, Forward Collision Warning with Brake Assists alerts you with a flash on the windshield and an audible warning when it senses a potential collision approaching10. If you don't react quickly it pre-charges and increases brake-assist sensitivity to increase responsiveness when you do brake.(10)

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection(106)

Be aware of your surroundings, always.

With the rise of distracted drivers and "Petextrians" using smartphones you need to stay ever vigilant and aware. Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection alerts you to pedestrians and vehicles entering your path and can even engage the brakes if necessary(106). The radar and camera sensors detect stopped or moving vehicles that are travelling the same direction as your vehicle. It alerts you with a flash on the windshield and an audible warning when it senses a potential collision approaching. If you don't react quickly and it determines a collision is likely it pre-charges and increases brake-assist sensitivity to increase responsiveness when you do brake (Brake Support). If the corrective action is not taken and a collision is now imminent the brakes are automatically applied. (Active Braking).

Active Park Assist

Enhanced Active Park Assist with Parallel and Reverse Perpendicular Parking(9)

Like having a spotter without the embarrassment of needing a spotter.

Whether parallel parking or reversing into a spot, it's got your back. No longer will you attempt to park while stressing about holding up traffic. It's 12 ultrasonic sensors measure your distance from parked cars, scanning for suitable parking spaces and then help you park(9). All you have to do is shift, accelerate and brake and it takes care of the steering. Smoothly and easily parallel parking or backing into a perpendicular spot. Parking is now a breeze.

BLIS (Blind Spot Information System)
with Cross Traffic Alert(10)

cross traffic alert

A giant leap forwards in going backwards.

Whether on the go or backing up BLIS with Cross Traffic Alert has your back, literally. When backing out of a parking spot or your driveway it uses radar to detect traffic behind your vehicle.(10) If a vehicle is approaching from up to 13.7 meters (15 yards) away it alerts you with an indicator in the corresponding side mirror and a signal in the message centre. When driving, radar in the rear quarter panels detects vehicles in your blind spots and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate sideview mirror.(10) No more getting caught off guard.

Lane Keeping Assist(10)

Introducing drift-free driving.

Lane Keeping System uses a front-viewing camera mounted in front of the windshield's rear view mirror to detect unintentional drifting toward the outside of a lane.10 If your vehicle starts to drift out of the lane, the system helps to alert you with vibrations in the steering wheel, chimes, and visual warnings in your driver cluster.
